Robert “Dearon” Gilreath, 66, of Rainsville, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Parkridge Medical Center. He was born December 13, 1959 to the late Archie Dearon Gilreath and Shelby Jean Wade Gilreath. Dearon was a huge Alabama fan and enjoyed watching them compete in softball, basketball, and football, but his favorite athlete to watch was his grandson, Jack.

Graveside services will be 12 noon, Friday, June 5th at Town Creek Cemetery with Rev. Marty Jenkins officiating.
He is survived by son Wade Gilreath and wife Jordan; grandsons Jack and Cooper Gilreath; niece Misti Black; and nephew Thomas Black and his daughter Brooklyn.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Regina Black.
Wilson Funeral Home and Crematory of Fort Payne is in charge of arrangements.
