Christopher Shannon Murray “Buttercup”, age 49, of Russellville, AL, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 @ North Alabama Medical Center.
Buttercup was on his 5 years of sobriety. Family is so thankful for the AA Community and Michele Swinney and all his friends for their support.
The visitation will be 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 29, 2026, at Spry Memorial Chapel. A memorial service will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 29, 2026, at Spry Memorial Chapel.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles Lewis & Thelma Ruth Murray, brother, Michael Murray, sister, Linda Dianne Mims (Jimmy).
He leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter, Krista Lynn Murray; brothers, Rickey Murray, David Murray (Jean), Mark Murray, a host of nieces and nephew and family members.
