Funeral service for William Randall Brainard, age 67, of Sevierville, TN, will be Monday, January 5, 2015, at 1 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Bain, Rev. Joel Snyder, and Rev. Preston Joslie officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to service. Interment will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Brainard, who passed away Friday, January 2, 2015, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born December 16, 1947, in Spartanburg, S.C. to William Gerald Brainard and Virginia Holland Brainard. He worked in security at Decatur Mall, was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of D.A.V. American Legion, and Music Minister at Unity Baptist Church.
Mr. Brainard is survived by his wife, Donna M. Brainard, of Sevierville; one son, Fredrick M. Downs, of Hartselle; two daughters, Virginia Kelsie Bolan (Todd), of Madison, and Tammy Lynn Collier, of Decatur; one brother, Gordon Dexter Brainard, of Spartanburg, S.C., and five grandchildren, Houston Downs, Olivia Bolan, Sierra, Shian, and Lexie Powell.
Pallbearers will be Gordon Brainard, Freddie Downs, Geronimo Collier, Todd Bolan, Scottie Jackson, and Curtis McGregor.
