Two-Vehicle Crash In Etowah County Takes Live Of One Person

ETOWAH COUNTY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency repoorts a two-vehicle accident involving a motorcycle has taken the life of one person:

“A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 8:50 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5, has claimed the life of a Crossville man.

Jerry W. Hollingsworth, 49, was fatally injured when the 2005 Honda Shadow motorcycle that he was operating struck the 2004 Toyota Camry driven by a 16-year-old juvenile. Hollingsworth was thrown from the motorcycle and pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on U.S. 431 near Happy Hill Road, approximately nine miles north of Attalla, in Etowah County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
