Timm Lloyd Glass, of Florence, Alabama, passed away on November 22, 2023, after a brief illness.

Timm was born on July 15, 1963, to Carol Patterson Glass and Dwight Glass in Buffalo, New York. After Timm graduated from Henderson High School in 1982, he went on to study business at Georgia Southern University.

An entrepreneur, Timm founded several businesses, including Tennessee Valley Mortgage, Pizza Marina, the Distillery, and Med-Rid.

In 2006, Timm met the love of his life, Debra, in Florence. It was love at first sight, and they married a short six weeks later. Timm was especially proud of and devoted to his stepdaughters, Zoe Welch, and Belle Johnston. He was a loving, guiding presence in their lives.

His feline companions were very dear to him, especially Groot, the tuxedo cat who claimed his heart.

In 2022, Timm retired to spend his time golfing, on home renovation projects, and with his many beloved friends in both Alabama and Florida. His smile and laugh lit up a room. He was known for his generous and loving spirit and was always ready to offer a helping hand. He will be remembered for the love and laughter he shared with his friends and family. He truly loved each of them and they knew it. He will be dearly missed at the Rising Crust where he enjoyed lunches with “the Commission,’ the Perdido Key Sports Bar, and Hub Stacey’s “breakfast club.”

Timm is survived by his wife, Debra Glass; his stepdaughters, Zoe Welch and Belle Johnston; his sister, Tara Glass; his nieces, Abby and Shelby Travers; and his former wife, Cindy Morris. He was predeceased by his parents, Dwight Glass and Carol Patterson Glass; maternal grandparents, Marion and Willard Patterson; and paternal grandparents, Harry and Leah Glass.

Special thanks to Dr. Morris and the caring staff at NAMC, and to dear friends, Laura Thrasher and Beth Carroll Cartony.
