Sylvia Rynes Profile Photo Sylvia Anne Rynes, 77, of Moulton, Alabama passed away Friday, April 11, 2025, at NHC of Moulton. The graveside service will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 14, 2025, at Providence Cemetery with Rev. Larry Crumpton and Rev. Tom Campbell officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Born on June 6, 1947, to John and Gladys Hickman Rynes. Sylvia graduated from Hazlewood High School in 1966, and graduated from Northwest Shoals in 1969. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxilary and a member of the First Baptist Church in Town Creek. Sylvia enjoyed writing poems and embroidering gifts for her friends and family.

Survivors include her sister, Charlotte “Beth” (David) Briley; two nephews, Jonathan (Mckenzie) Briley and James (Kelly) Briley; one niece, Dr. Melissa (Jason) Smith; two great-nephews, Griffin Briley and Henry Briley, two great-nieces, Briley Smith and Eleanor Briley.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, John Rynes and Gladys Hickman Rynes; and one great-nephew, Colt Beckett Smith.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Briley, James Briley, David Briley, Griffin Briley, Jason Smith, and Mike Waldrep.

Honorary Pallbearer is Henry Briley.

The family extends special thanks to NHC of Moulton, Southern Care Hospice, and Tonya Green for their loving care and support.
