Suspect Arrested Charged With Unlawful Manufacturing Of Meth

MORGAN COUNTY-On Sunday, March 20 Morgan County deputies were executing a search warrant and discovered a meth lab.  Morgan County Sheriff Ana Franklin issued a statement on the arrest of one man:

“Early Sunday morning, March 20th, James Douglas Cox (W/M 38) of Falkville, was arrested for Unlawful Manufacturing of Methamphetamine 1st and Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Deputies were at Cox’s residence Saturday evening executing an arrest warrant when they observed items consistent with a meth lab. The Morgan County Drug Task Force was contacted and a subsequent search of the residence yielded a one-pot clandestine methamphetamine laboratory, an HCL gas generator, and other items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine.
James Douglas Cox was arrested and transported to the Morgan County Jail where he was booked with a $7,500.00 bond.”
