With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Susan Riddle Robinson on February 9, 2026, at the age of 77. Susan was born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama, and lived a life marked by compassion, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends.

Susan’s faithfulness and commitment to those she loved were beautifully reflected in her 55-year marriage to the love of her life, Thomas ‘Tommy’ Robinson. Their bond remained strong through every season of life. She was a proud and devoted mother to her two sons, Paul Thomas and Seth William, for whom she gave her whole heart. Nothing brought her greater joy than her three grandchildren—Wyatt Thomas, Jackson Paul, and Lilian Elizabeth—who affectionately called her “Mamie,” a title she wore with pride.

Susan never met a stranger. If you became her friend, you had a friend for life. Some of her closest friends, lovingly known as the “YaYa’s” (plus the “YoYo”), had been by her side since grade school. Their friendship endured through life’s celebrations and challenges alike. In later years, they traveled together, creating memories and stories filled with laughter and adventure—stories that make anyone listening wish they had been there. Susan loved long conversations with her friends and was often found on the phone well into the early morning hours. She was known for her quick wit, wonderful sense of humor, and even a few daring pranks in her day. One thing was certain: if you were blessed enough to spend time with Susan, you were going to have fun.

Susan was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tommy; her parents, Jean and William ‘Bill’ Riddle; and her sister, Becky Cotton. She is survived by her sons, Paul Thomas Robinson and his wife, Vanessa, and Seth William Robinson; her grandsons, Wyatt Thomas Robinson and Jackson Paul Robinson; her granddaughter, Lilian Elizabeth Robinson; her sister-in-law, Linda Dianne Towers and her husband, Steve, of Rochester, NY; her brother-in-law, Gary Dwight Robinson and his wife, Mona, of Meridianville; her sister-in-law, Kay Denise Califf and her husband, Frank, of Madison; and eight cherished nieces and nephews.

Services to honor and celebrate Susan’s life will be held on Sunday, February 15, from 4:00–6:00 p.m. for visitation at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. A graveside service will be on Monday, February 16, at 11:30 a.m. at Huntsville Memorial Gardens, officiated by Pastor Jay Schug of Community Fellowship Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that you consider donating your time, talents, or financial support to the Alabama Head Injury Foundation (www.ahif.org), a cause close to Susan’s heart.
