Shirley Ann Blackwood, age 77, of Madison, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2025.
Born in Cullman on July 3rd, 1947 to Victor and Edna Mae Blackwood, Shirley was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, co-worker, and friend. She loved, among other things, gardening, traveling, art, restoring furniture, and spending time with family and friends. She worked at Dynetics for over 30 years starting as a Receptionist, retiring as a Document Control Specialist. Formerly married to Tom Gill, she is preceded in death by son, Kevin Carroll, brothers Hollis, Troy, and Coy Blackwood, and sister Imogene Nuss. She is survived by her brother, Benny Blackwood (Sandra), son David Carroll (Kristen), and grandchildren Christopher Carroll (Lauren), Hadyn Rector (Sam), Grayson Carroll, Madelyn Carroll, and Bryan Carroll
A celebration of life visitation for Shirley will be held Sunday, April 13, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Moss-Service Funeral Home Parlor G&H, 1901 2nd Avenue, N.W., Cullman, Alabama 35055, followed by a celebration of life memorial service at 3:30 PM in the Chapel.
