Sheryl Dianne Foster Cooper, 52, Muscle Shoals, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 29, 2025, after a lengthy illness. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 3, from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Ford City Baptist Church. A Celebration of Life Service will immediately follow at the church.
Sheryl is survived by her husband, Kerry Eugene Cooper; her parents, Marshall and Deborah Foster; her sisters, Janice Howard (Kelvin) and Marcy Foster; aunt, Sarah Foster Hurst, who was like a second mother; Justin Childers, whom she claimed as her own; Kerri Locker, who was more sister than cousin; special nephews, Jaycee Foster and Sam Howard; nieces, Janna Prestage and Lorrie Glover; friends with whom she was especially close, Eunice and Tina Simmons, Melanie Bakker, Margaret Austin, and the Terry family; and a host of family and friends too many to mention.
The family offers special thanks to members of Keller EMS; Colbert County Fire and Rescue in Ford City; the many dedicated nurses and doctors that cared for Sheryl during her long illness at NAMC; and the staffs of The Dialysis Centers and Glenwood Nursing Home.
