Born on July 3, 1948, to Mitchell and Olene Blevins Heidt. Roger graduated from Speake High School. Roger retired from Wolverine Tube. Roger enjoyed fishing, hunting, and golfing. Roger was an avid Alabama fan, and would want you all to remember Roll Tide!
Survivors include his wife Karen Villmer Heidt; three daughters, Lisa (Shannon) Livingston, Tiffany (Nathan) Weathersby, and Toni (Miles) Hooper; step-children, Keith Ross, Nathan Montgomery, and Jami Ross; grandchildren, Auston Livingston, Lexi Heidt, Alex Livingston, Tyson Hooper, and Jake Weathersby; one sister, Joan (Terry) Harris; one nephew, Tim (Catherine) Keenum; and extended family members.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Mitchell and Olene Heidt.
Pallbearers will be Shannon Livingston, Nathan Weathersby, Miles Hooper, Auston Livingston, Tyson Hooper, and Jake Weathersby.
The family extends special thanks to the nurses and staff at the CVU of Decatur Morgan Hospital.
