Peggy Jane Watkins Brown, age 92 of Estill Springs, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at NHC Tullahoma. She was born in Lincoln County on January 12, 1933, to the late Riley and Lillian (Garrard) Watkins. Peggy Jane was a devoted homemaker. When she was able, she enjoyed tending to her garden, especially her flowers, fishing, and playing Bingo. She also enjoyed watching old westerns such as Gun Smoke. A Christian lady, Peggy Jane was a member of Paynes Baptist Church and attended Crossroads Baptist Church before her health began to fail. Her strong will, determination, and independent nature exhibited throughout her life will be missed by those who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Lee Brown; and siblings, Jack Watkins, Riley Watkins Jr, Pat Watkins, Betty Jean Hobbs, and Billie Johnson. Peggy Jane is survived by her loving children, Willie (Patsy) Brown, Ann (Roger) Lindsey, and Mike (Donna) Brown; grandchildren, Christopher (Lisa) Brown, Kevin (Jodi) Brown, Joey (Kayla) Brown, Brandon Brown, Bryan (Bailee) Brown, and Josh Lindsey; great-grandchildren, Alex Brown, Tinsleigh Brown, Abby Brown, and Graycee Brown; siblings, Mickey (Carolyn) Watkins, and Jerry (Betty Lynn) Watkins; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, March 17, 2025, in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Bro. Dwight Duckworth officiating. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens with Chris Brown, Kevin Brown, Joey Brown, Brandon Brown, Bryan Brown, and Ryan Henley serving as pallbearers.
