We sadly announce the passing of Mrs. Patricia Ann Strickland on Saturday, 23 April 2023. She touched many lives as an educator and teacher through her many years of service, including at White City, Cold Springs, West Elementary, and East Elementary Cullman. It was her gift and joy to always be in the middle of serving others-especially with food. She was preceded in death by her parents Tennyson W and Flora Audrey Brooks, her sisters Charlotte Quatlebaum and Kathleen Strickland, and her grandson John Connor Strickland. She is survived by husband of 67 years, Johnnie Ray Strickland, son John W Strickland (Jill), daughter Mary Veal (David); grandchildren Audrey Gato (Blaine), Annelyn Veal and Evan Veal; niece Charmion Potts, nephew Rudae Strickland; and a host of extended family and friends. Visitation will be at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home on Monday evening from 6 p.m. -8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Kairos Inside – St Claire Prison Ministry, KAIROS.ORG.
