Nona Kay Alexander Winter passed away Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Sunshine Healthcare in Pontotoc. She was born on January 27, 1940, to Roscoe and Irene Todd Alexander. She attended Toccopola High School. After marrying, she moved to Memphis, TN before settling back in Pontotoc County where she raised her children.
She enjoyed reading, planting flowers, and crossword puzzles. She loved her family and was always there when you needed her.
Ms. Kay made the donation of her body to science in hopes of helping someone else through research.
Survivors include her children, Amanda Smith (Andy) of Ecru and Mark Winter (Patsy) of Thaxton, her grandchildren, Anthony Winter, Kriztina Stearns, Nikita Hollis, Manly Winter, John Winter, and Harlie Smith, and her 11 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life for Ms. Kay will be held at a later date for close family members.
