Myra Kaye Mitchell MayMyra Kaye Mitchell May, aged 86, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2024. Born on May 28, 1938, Kaye was a remarkable woman known for her sass, intelligence, unwavering faith, and deep love for her family.

Kaye’s sharp wit and spirited personality were as memorable as her quick sense of humor. She never shied away from speaking her mind. Her intelligence was evident in everything she did, from her professional achievements to the way she navigated life’s challenges with grace and wisdom.

A devout woman, Kaye’s faith was a cornerstone of her life. She was an active member of her church community, where she found strength and solace, and she inspired others with her unwavering belief and generosity.

Kaye’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother to her five children, Lana, Lisa (Jerry), Beth (Mark), Eddie and Mitch (deceased). Her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Bethany (Chris, Aidan, Lucas) James (deceased), Rebekkah (Patrick, Landon, Lilah), Jimmy (Kim, Presley, Kayelyn), Carol (Joey, Marissa, Parker), Hannah (Carson, Myra), Kayla (Phil), Sawyer, were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her home was always filled with laughter, love, and the delicious aroma of her home-cooked meals. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

A private family viewing will take place on June 30, 2024, at 10:00-10:30am at Spry Funeral Home with graveside service to follow at 11am at Franklin Memorial Gardens. Friends of the family are welcome to gather for lunch at the home of Mark and Beth Stockton, in Russellville, following the graveside service. Pallbearers will include Mark Stockton, Carson Hutchins, Patrick Dunford, Jerry Pullen, Chris Fuller and Lucas Fuller.
