Mary Nell Mask, 84, left this life for a better one on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at the NMMC Hospice. A Pontotoc County native and lifelong resident, she was born Jan. 13, 1932 to Bill and Ruby Rackley Jenkins. Mary Nell graduated from Pontotoc High School in 1952 and married her late husband, Homer Mask. She worked 37 years as a seamstress for Mohasco/Futorian Furniture until her retirement. Mary Nell was the oldest member of Pontocola Baptist Church and she enjoyed sewing and working in her flowers.
Services will be 11 AM Saturday at the Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mark Cayson and Bro. Justin Varnon officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
She leaves behind her three daughters, Linda Trimble (Ricky) of Pontocola, Amy Mask of Tupelo, and Cathy Barnett of Pontocola; her brother, Ernest Jinkins (Jamye) of Pontocola; 2 sisters, Pauline Mallory and Sylvia Caudle, both of Memphis; a sister-in-law, Nancy Jenkins of Jacksonville, FL; 4 grandchildren, Bill Barnes, Eric Barnett (April), Vicky Trimble, and Jason Trimble (Kim); 3 great-grandchildren, Alisha, Lauren, and Lake; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; 2 brothers, Oscar and Quinton Jenkins, and a sister, Joan Dye.
Pallbearers will be Eric Barnett, Larry Jenkins, Bubba Jenkins, Terry Jinkins, Howard Rutledge, and Billy Hanna. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Barnes, and the North MS Medical Center Hospice Nurses and Staff.
Visitation will be 5-8 Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Pontocola Baptist Church.
