Mary Elizabeth Thompson Hughes, age 81, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Thursday, January 02, 2025, at Countryside Health and Rehabilitation in Lawrenceburg, TN. She was a native of Wayne County, TN, and a retired waitress from Piccadilly Cafeteria. A few of her favorite hobbies were creating greeting cards and collecting jewelry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Earl and Bertie Gladys Cornelius Thompson; one brother, Charles Franklin Thompson; and one sister, Peggy Jean Thompson Nesbitt.
She is survived by her son, Robert Hughes (Nadra) of Spicewood, TX; and two sisters, Mauveline Mitchell and Deanna Pulley (Ray).
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
