Mary Ann Lawhorn, age 86 of Tracy City, passed away at her residence on Saturday, March 15, 2025. She was born in Tracy City on May 5, 1938, to the late Fred and Mary Louise (Ashworth) McElderry. Mary Ann left Tennessee and moved to Florida in 1969 when she married Ed Lawhorn. In 1995, they returned to her beloved hometown, and they built a log home. She was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi for fifty-five years, as well as a former member of the Tracy City Garden and Library Club. A Christian lady, she was a member of Christ Church Episcopal in Tracy City. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Lawhorn; daughter, Mary Elizabeth Grimm; and brother, Kenneth McElderry. Mary Ann is survived by her loving son, R. Michael Frye (Chris Carter); son-in-law, Richard Grimm; granddaughter, Samantha Grimm; grandson, Michael Grimm; sister, Cathy Shelton; and two nephews. No formal services are planned at this time.
