Mack is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jan Lansdell; daughter, Shayla Bates (Brad); granddaughter, Jolie Hanson (Joseph); grandson, Ty Bates; brother, Earl Lansdell, Jr.; sister, Patricia Aycock; sisters-in-law, Charlene Neely, Wilma Lansdell, Linda Lansdell, and Patsy Hunter; along with many nieces and nephews.

Mack was a faithful member of the Lord’s Church. For the last 12 years, he attended Cross Point in Florence where he thrived serving at the Friendship Center. Previously, Mack attended Cox Blvd. in Sheffield, where he served as a deacon and elder for many years.
He graduated from Muscle Shoals High School in 1965. Many of his lifelong memories were of playing football under respected coach, Durrel Mock. After graduation, Mack served six years in the Alabama Army National Guard.
Mack was a member of Pipe Fitter’s Local 760 and retired as General Foreman at Sheffield Gas & Water Department after 33 years.
He loved backyard gardening and running. Even in later stages of dementia, he wanted to be sure his tomatoes were planted so he could share with others.
“Others” was his main priority in life. He wanted nothing more than to influence others to become believers in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The eternal impact of this godly man’s life will never be fully known this side of heaven.
Pallbearers were Brad Bates, Ty Bates, Joseph Hanson, Norm Curington, Brian McManus and James Borden.
