James Wesley Alldredge (JW) passed away at home on September 4, 2026, at the age
of 69 after a brief illness. JW was a devoted husband to Anne, his beloved wife of 46
years, a proud father to his son Jordan (Alisa), cherished grandfather to Colt, and loving
brother to Velissa, Brenda, Shannon, and Heath.
JW had a very successful career in the oil business, at their family business Knight Oil
Company in Albertville, AL. After the sale of the business to Brown Oil Company in
2017, he continued contributing part time until earlier this year. Outside of work and in
his semi-retired life, JW found joy in driving buses for the Albertville School Board,
serving as a security volunteer at his church, and spending time on his farm tending
cattle and appreciating the outdoors. He and his wife were devoted members of
Brashers Chapel Church.
JW will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to family, his strong work ethic,
and his kindness to all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, integrity, and
hard work that will continue to inspire his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife (Anne), son Jordan (Alisa), sisters Velissa and Brenda (Bill),
brothers Shannon (Cindi), Heath (Andrea), Grandson Colt, nieces and nephews, great
nieces and nephews and a group of cousins in the Weaver family.
He is preceded by his Father James William Alldredge and Mother Betty Upton.
