Funeral services for Mr. Dennis D. Poteete age 66, are scheduled for 4pm Sunday, September 6, 2026, in the Chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with burial to follow in Shiloh Cemetery. Mr. Poteete passed away Friday night in Lexington, Tn. He was born in Lexington to the late Curry and Shelby Jean Osburn Poteete and was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church and enjoyed building things. He worked for Reasons Construction as a heavy equipment operator for 25 years then worked with Nick Hart moving and building log cabins.
Survivors include his wife- Mrs. Mary Poteete of 43 years; Son- Jason Curry Poteete; Daughter- Shelley Leanne Poteete (Tommy Armstrong); and granddaughter- Dana Marie Kitchen. also, his uncle- James Osburn and best lil buddy “Snookums” Visitation will be Saturday 4:30pm-9pm and Sunday 9am-4pm.
