Mary Terry Hester, 87, of Sheffield, passed away Friday, February 13, 2026. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 19, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Dan Hindman and Bro. Bobby Amos officiating. Interment will be at Old Bethel Cemetery, Leighton.
Mary was a retired hairdresser and enjoyed family, gospel singing, and Alabama football with her husband James, serving several churches with musical services. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Archie Wright and James Hester; parents, William and Ludie Terry; and brothers, Willard, Aubrey, and Bill Terry.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Sharon Goodwin and Teresa O’Hern (John); stepson, Tony Hester (Ann Marie); 4 grandchildren, Johnathan Goodwin, Adam and Matt Mulling, and Marcie Hill (Tyler); great-grandchildren, Westin, Magnolia, and Hallie Mae Hill; and loved dearly by a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are, Dale Jones, Malcolm Seahorn, Joe Garrett, Gary Wood, Athel Hacker, and Shawn Hacker. Honorary pallbearers are members of Crestview Baptist Church.
