Lula Mae McCormack, age 66, of Leighton, died Tuesday, July 22, 2014. Her family will receive friends for visitation today from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Jerry Stricklin officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Mrs. McCormack was a native and lifelong resident of Colbert County. She was preceded in death by her husband, James B. McCormack, parents, William Oliver Russell and Helen Marie Grissom Staggs, stepfather, Leon Staggs, son, Cecil Waldrep, and sisters, Brenda Staggs and Carolyn Patterson.
Survivors include son, Jason Hinton (Melissa); daughter, Jessica Staggs; brother, Ray Russell (Betty); and two grandchildren, Abby and unborn baby, Harper.
Pallbearers will be wrestlers of NGW.
