It is with great sadness that the family of Lon Bouldin announces his sudden passing from this world on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, at the age of 49.

He was born in Memphis, TN and grew up in Brentwood, TN. He graduated high school from Franklin Road Academy in Nashville, TN., and Centre College, in Danville, Kentucky.

Lon worked in Public Relations in New York and Nashville, TN. He loved movies and TV, all media and entertainment arts, cooking, animals, and helping and bringing out the best in others.

Lon was the Director of the FirstBank First Saturday Art Crawl and a long-time supporter of the arts in Nashville. He spent his career supporting the arts; music, film, dance, theatre, and he was deeply involved in the visual arts in downtown Nashville. He had been working with the Nashville Downtown Partnership to elevate and promote the downtown visual arts community.

He was a devoted son and loved spending time with his family. He loved to travel and once traveled the world by ship and spent a Semester at Sea while at Centre.

Lon’s parents are Andra Clay Jordan Bouldin and Earl Randle (Randy) Bouldin, Sr. He is predeceased by his father, Randy Bouldin and his grandparents Sue and Earl Bouldin and Sissie and John Jordan. He is survived by his mother, Clay Bouldin, and his brothers, Rand (Leslie) and Tinnin; his nephews, Randy and Jacob; his niece, Amanda; two uncles, John Jordan (Annette) and Robert Bouldin (Susan); many cousins; and his many friends and other family members.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held Sunday, February 17, at The Arts Company at 215 5th Avenue in Nashville from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. There will be time at 4:00p.m. to share your love of Lon with everyone and stories that embody his many achievements and talents, indomitable humor, unfettered curiosity and unbridled whimsy.

The red carpet will be rolled out as we celebrate his life.

Lon left this world early. We will be celebrating his life, along with the “Oscars” being one of Lon’s favorite things of the year, a bit early.

Memorials may be made to The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. www.cfmt.org
