Linda Gail Rankin Isbell

Linda was born to Roy and Kathleen Rankin. She held a Bachelor’s Degree from Florence State and a Master’s Degree from Jacksonville State. Linda taught elementary school for 25 years. She was a member of Gilliam Springs Baptist Church. Linda was known and loved by many and will be sorely missed. She had an intelligence and frankness that stood out to all who knew her.
Linda was preceded in death by her father, mother, and brother Roy Rankin Jr.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Stan Isbell; her daughter, Chauna Lamar, and husband Dan; her grandchildren Kaigan Lamar and Wyatt Lamar; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at 3 pm with Brother Josh Garmany officiating. The family will receive friends on that day from 1 pm until 3 pm.
