Linda Faye Lucas Johnson age 68 passed away Friday morning May 13, 2016 at Henderson Health & Rehabilitation.
She was born March 31, 1948 in Chester County, the daughter of the late R.B. and Leona Kinchen Lucas. She graduated from Chester County High School in 1966 and married James Johnson in December of 1966. They lived in Memphis for ten years and moved to the Plainview community in 1978. She worked for Chester County Sportswear until 1992 and was a floor supervisor.
They were members of the Oak Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church and moved their membership to First Baptist Church in Henderson in 2010.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband, James Edward Johnson of Henderson; a son Wesley Johnson of Henderson and a daughter, Michelle Bain and husband Greg of Henderson; two grandchildren, Kacey Sheppard and Kent Bain and a great grandchild, Wyatt Lee Sheppard; four brothers, Gerald Lucas and Paul Lucas both of Henderson, Johnny Lucas of Dallas, TX and Steve Lucas of Chicago, IL; two sisters, Wanda Patterson and Brenda Plunk both of Henderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Sonny Lucas, James Lucas and Butch Lucas.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, May 16, 2016 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Guy Maxwell officiating. Burial will follow in Faith Baptist Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday.
