Lauren Pauline Farrar, 68, of Cullman, Alabama, was born June 1, 1957, in Alabama, and passed away May 20, 2026. She will be remembered with deep respect and lasting gratitude for a life marked by steady perseverance, quiet wisdom, and a generosity that so often placed the needs of others before her own.

Raised with Alabama roots, Lauren attended Gadsden High School until her senior year, when she moved to Cullman and completed her final year at Cullman High School—an abrupt change that required her to begin again in a new town and build new friendships. During high school, she was a majorette cheerleader, and her talent and discipline later earned her a majorette scholarship at Wallace State Community College. A committed lifelong learner, she continually sought to grow both inside and outside the classroom. She attended law school for criminal justice at Birmingham School of Law and, despite the demands of being a single mother of three daughters, pursued higher education throughout her life, ultimately obtaining three degrees.

Lauren worked at UPS for 10 years before taking early retirement to pursue entrepreneurship, founding Starchaser Deliveries in Cullman, Alabama. At the time, she was one of only two women working for UPS in Hartselle—an example of her determination and work ethic, carried with dignity and resolve.

Above all else, Lauren’s life centered on her family. She was a single mother to three daughters—Leslyanna Husted, Jillian Cobb, and Haley Husted—and devoted herself to providing them the best life she could through tireless effort, steadfast care, and unwavering love. Her bond with Leslyanna was especially profound; in Lauren’s eyes, no achievement compared to the love and devotion they shared. Even while working and managing responsibilities, she made space for joy and togetherness, taking her daughters on vacations to the beach, the mountains, and countryside getaways. While handling necessary work for “Haley’s Comet,” a Granny’s Old Fashioned Lemonade franchise, she often turned restocking trips to Florida into small beach escapes—ensuring that, even in the midst of labor, her daughters’ happiness remained her first priority.

Lauren also gave freely of herself to her community. She sponsored multiple companies in the Cullman County region as well as adult ball teams in the local area. A contestant and winner in various beauty pageants, she used her experience and presence to encourage and inspire young women. She served as a majorette instructor and worked to help and guide women toward independence, safety, and self-reliance—offering practical support with a kind heart and a steady, uplifting spirit.

Those who knew Lauren understood her resilience: she kept moving forward through hardship, meeting adversity with strength and a selfless resolve. Sacrifice, in both large and small ways, was woven into her everyday life—an enduring reflection of her generous nature and the care she extended so readily to others. She was cherished by many, and her sense of humor could bring lightness even when times were difficult. Integrity described Lauren perfectly in the way she lived her life and navigated hardships.

Lauren was preceded in death by her father, Ben Farrar, and her mother, Barbara Farrar.

She is survived by her daughters, Leslyanna Husted, Jillian Cobb, and Haley Husted; and by her grandchildren, Alice Cobb and Julian Sanders, who were absolutely everything to Lauren.
