Kirsten Leigh EldridgeKirsten Leigh Eldridge, 24, Muscle Shoals, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Visitation will be Friday, February 23, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. A private service, officiated by Barrett Long and Jeff Hurn, will be held for the family at a later date. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Tuscumbia.

Kirsten attended Calvary Baptist Church, Tuscaloosa, and graduated from The University of Alabama in 2021. She was active in The Well campus ministry and volunteered with S. D. Allen Ministries, which helped Tuscaloosa families furnish their homes. She enjoyed working with children in the community and had a passion to serve. Kirsten loved attending Alabama sporting events, spending time with her friends and the love of her life, boyfriend, Steven. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Galon and Mary Eldridge, and Charles and Nancy Hammond; and uncle, Mike Hammond.

Kirsten is survived by her parents, Ivan and Kathy Eldridge; sister, Kaylee Eldridge; aunts, Cindy Fitzgerald (Bill), Karen Springall (Rob), and Kim Williams; uncle, Chuck Hammond (Julie); and cousins, Bradley and Grayson Hammond.

Pallbearers will be Rod Anderson, Nathan Belgard, Hunter Hollon, Brady Rutland, Cooper Thompson, Will Turley, and Pate Ward.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials in honor of Kirsten be made to the Sarcoma Foundation of America, www.curesarcoma.org, or the Kirsten Eldridge Memorial Scholarship, which will go to college bound seniors from Muscle Shoals High School. Donations may be sent to Kirsten Eldridge Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Ivan and Kathy Eldridge, 861 Golf Trail Ridge, Muscle Shoals, AL 35661, or drop off at any Bank Independent location.
