Johnny “John” Paul Marlett, age 70, passed away on May 13, 2021, in Columbia, TN.
John was born on June 9, 1950, in Hobart, Oklahoma to the late Paul Marlett and Georgene Murphy Gee.
In his younger years, Johnny was a Police Officer in Sperry, Oklahoma, and volunteered with Axillary Policeman in Tulsa, OK. He graduated with Honors at Will Rogers Junior Community College. John also pursued earning his medical degree until his health started to decline.
John enjoyed woodworking in his free time, transforming any piece of wood into beautiful furniture. He also a skilled painter, as a side job John painted school buses and took a lot of pride in his work.
John is survived by his wife, Linda Marlett; five children: Nikkie Beattie, Gary Marlett, Mike Marlett, Andrew Marlett, and Stacy Brennan; many grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren; and two sisters.
