Johnnie Alberta Staton age 83 of Graysville, passed away Saturday November 12, 2016 at her residence.
She was a homemaker and was a lifelong member of Graysville United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be Tuesday November 15, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Rev. Jimmy Bradford will officiate. Burial will follow at Morgan Cemetery in Sumiton. Visitation is Tuesday from 12:30-2 pm at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Claude Staton; parents, Ellis and Odessa Benefield; brothers, George, Jack and Sterling Benefield and sister, Aleen Benefield.
Survivors include her son, Brian Staton and wife Susan of Warrior; daughter, Lou Matthews and husband Wesley of Bagley; grandchildren, Kelly Hamilton (Brandon), Stacey Pickle (Brandon), Andrew McDonald (Hali), Natalie Hawkins (Jeremy) and Tyler Matthews (Lindsey); great grandchildren, Kyndall and Madison; sister, Lucille Yarborough; special nephew, Steven Staton; several nieces, nephews; several other relatives and a host of friends.
