With heavy hearts we share the passing of a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, friend and Navy veteran. Jerry “Blue” Wayne Cotton, age 77, passed away at his residence in Union Grove, Alabama. Blue was born in Birmingham, Alabama on November 27, 1947 and ran into the arms of our Lord on August 7, 2024. His parents were Willie Harlan Cotton and Lillian Beatrice Brasher Cotton. He was married to Robyn Lynne Tucker. He was a machinist by trade and a US Navy Veteran.
On any particular day you could find Blue doing the things he loved and sharing it all with his wife, Robyn. Things consisting of motorcycle riding, sailing on Lake Guntersville, and cheering on the Crimson Tide. He will always be remembered by his love of life and his quick wit. Blue will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Family members left to cherish Blue’s memory include his wife, Robyn Lynne Tucker, son, Joshua and Nathan; his granddaughter, Lilli; his sister, Rita Carmichael and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
