Hall of Fame’s Spotlight turns to Session Musician Bob Wray

TUSCUMBIA-The Alabama Music Hall of Fame’s rotating exhibit featuring area achievers continues, with the unveiling of session musician and local legend Bob Wray’s display on January 31st at 6:30 p.m. The display will be located in the lobby and feature biographical information along with pictures.
This exhibit will continue to rotate every three months. In addition to the display unveiling, a special interview will be conducted by Sherry St. John-Clark, from Kix 96, with questions from the public, and be made available online during the three months honoring the individual. Bob Wray’s exhibit will be the second in this series and will open January 31 at 6:30 p.m. Bob Wray is an accomplished session bass player whose long list of credentials includes playing on over 40 No. 1 country hits.
Wray has been involved in Alabama music since moving here in 1970 to work with the renowned Rick Hall at FAME Studios. He has enjoyed great success working with a portfolio of legends including Al Green, George Jones, B.B. King, Kenny Rogers, Reba McEntire, among many others. memorable jingles for companies such as Budweiser, Chevy, and Sears. Wray is a Dove award winner and is an ACM Bass Player of the Year Nominee, as well as the winner of the Contemporary Achiever Award for Best Studio Player in 2001 from the Alabama Music Hall of Fame.
