MONTGOMERY-In accordance with the Presidential Order, Governor Ivey has directed flags be lowered across the state of Alabama to half-staff effective at 6 p.m. today through Sunset, Tuesday, September 1, 2026, in memory of legendary American singer, songwriter, actress, businesswoman and humanitarian Dolly Parton who passed away on August 25, 2026, at the age of 80.
