Frank L. Turnbow – Obituary

Frank L. Turnbow, 77, of Huntsville passed away Friday. Born in Jasper, Alabama, he was a graduate of UNA and Duke Divinity School. He spent the first half of his adult life serving in the US Air Force and US Army. He was a chaplain for 16 years in the US Army and believed strongly in serving through the Ministry of Presence. After retiring from the US Army, Frank was a self-taught computer programmer until his final retirement in 2008.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Cornelia; daughter, Katherine (Danny) Sharpe; son, Mark (Bethany) Turnbow; grandson, Alex Turnbow; and brother, Jimmy Turnbow. He was preceded in death by his son Michael David Turnbow.
Visitation will be from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Sunday, July 17, at Trinity United Methodist Church. A memorial service will follow at the church with Rev. Mac Buttram officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church.
