Funeral service for Ella Dean (Norris) May, age 73, of Moulton, will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with Gloria Taylor officiating. Her family will receive friends for one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Midway Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. May, who died Friday, July 14, 2023, at Lawrence Medical Center, was born August 2, 1949, in Alabama to Albert Marion Norris and Emma Cynthia Holiday Norris. She was preceded in death by her husband, Brice May; son, Ricky May; daughter, Theresa McVay; her parents; four brothers, Pete Norris, G. T. Norris, Maxwell Norris, and Homer Norris; two sisters, Minnie May and Alene Burman; and one grandchild, Hunter May.
She is survived by her son, Joey Lee May (Stephanie); two sisters, Louise Jones and Carolyn Ortega; two grandchildren, Cory McVay (April) and Kayla Nichols (Will); two great-grandchildren, Kendall McVay and Raylee McVay.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Hubbard, Elvis Overton, Jason Bailey, Jonathan May, Timmy Norris, and Buford Hubbard. Honorary pallbearers will be Adrian Jeffreys and James Champion.
