Dwaine Taylor, 77, passed away Friday, February 13, 2026, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born May 23,1948 to and the late Ed Taylor and Hattie Pritchett Taylor. He retired from W.S. Newell after 43 years of service. Dwaine was a proud United States Army veteran who served his country with honor and dedication. His time in the U.S. Army was a source of great pride, and he carried the values of service, integrity, and commitment with him throughout his life. Outside of his military service, Dwaine found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved gardening and took great pride in tending to his yard, always making sure everything was just right. Fishing was another favorite pastime, offering him both relaxation and reflection. He was a natural storyteller who enjoyed sharing memories from the past, bringing laughter, wisdom, and a sense of connection to family and friends. Above all, Dwaine cherished his family. He especially treasured the holidays, when everyone gathered together, creating memories that will be held close for years to come. His love, strength, and steady presence were gifts to all who knew him. Dwaine will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for his devotion to his country, his passion for life’s simple joys, and his unwavering love for his family.
Funeral services with military honors will be at 2:00 pm on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Senter Funeral Home with Jason Underwood officiating. Buria will be in Itawamba Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday February 15th at Senter Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, Bessie “Betty” Taylor of Fulton; son, Joe “Pooh” (Amy) Taylor of Fulton; daughter, Mary Taylor of Fulton; grandsons, Owen (McKenzie Crosman) Taylor and Evan (Ivy Koon) Taylor, both of Fulton; brothers, James Taylor, Terry Taylor, and Richard Taylor; sisters, Elizabeth Chandler, Debbie King, and Delila Haire; and his fur baby, Maggie Mae Taylor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Hattie Taylor; siblings, Nan Nelson, Roy Taylor, Leon Taylor, Larry Taylor, Little Ricky Taylor, Jimmy Ray Taylor, and Margaret Colbert.
Pallbearers will be Owen Taylor, Evan Taylor, Ward Little, Jimmy Little, Sonny Little, and Robert Sheffield.
