Ms. Dorothy Sue (Dood) Johnson, 88, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2023, in Lexington. She was born October 5, 1934, in Lexington, to the late Sidney Andrew Johnson and Mae Brantley Johnson. She was a retired Johnson Controls employee and a member of First Pentecostal Church in Lexington. She was an avid fan of Lady Vols basketball.
Ms. Johnson is survived by a nephew, Gary Morris (Sandra), and two nieces, Gwen Graves and Beverly Maness (Danny). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Elry Johnson, and two sisters, Velrie Morris and Norma Jean Graves.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Saturday, April 29, in the Chapel of Pafford Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Center Hill Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 PM Friday, April 28, and on Saturday from 11:00 AM until time of service.
