Deloris Elaine Schrimsher, 74 of Ardmore, Tennessee died on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Alabama.
Born Sunday, February 2, 1941 in Ardmore, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Clifton Bates and the late Gladys Icie Hill Bates. She was a lifelong resident of the Ardmore area and was a member of Jennings Chapel Church of Christ. She loved womens baseball and softball and watching her grandkids play sports. She was affectionately known as Maw Maw. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters: Daisy Mae Shannon and Joann Hargrove.
Surviving are her husband: Wayne Schrimsher of Ardmore, TN, son, Greg Schrimsher of Ardmore, TN, daughter, Lisa (Kevin) Williams of Ardmore, TN, brothers, Wayne Bates of Ardmore, TN and James Davis of Columbus, GA, three grandchildren: Keith Schrimsher and Morgan (Dan) Williams and Zac Williams, one great-grandchild: Bo Schrimsher, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 23, 2015, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Kim Harbin and Bro. Joe Brown officiating. Burial will be in Hasting Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, May 22, 2015, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
