Cullman Man Dies From Injuries Received In Two-Vehicle Accident Five Others Sent To Hospital With Injuries

GOOD HOPE-The Alabama Law Enforcement reports a two-vehicle accident in Cullman County has taken the life of a Cullman man and sent 5 others to hospital:

A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 2:10 p.m. Friday, December 12, has claimed the life of a Cullman man.

Gregory B. Booker, 33, was fatally injured when the 2005 Infiniti G35 that he was a passenger in, was struck by a 2006 Toyota Tundra driven by Richard L. Hand, 65, of Gardendale. Booker was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Hand was injured and transported to Cullman Regional Medical Center (CRMC) for treatment.

Two juveniles, a 17-year-old, and a 15-year-old, both of Kimberly, who were passengers in the Toyota, were injured and transported to local hospitals for treatment. The driver of the Infiniti, Connor D. Eaton, 24, and Matthew Z. Ponder, 26, who was a passenger in the Infiniti, both of Cullman, were also injured and airlifted to the University of Alabama Hospital in Birmingham (UAB) for treatment. Neither Eaton nor Ponder were using their seat belts at the time of crash.

The crash occurred on Interstate 65 near Cullman County 222, approximately one mile north of Good Hope, in Cullman County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
