Clara Mae Cox Handley, age 82, of Sulligent, AL passed away Saturday, September 22, 2018 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Tuesday September 25, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Bro. Glenn Hughes to officiate. Visitation will be held Monday September 24, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. from Otts Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers family request donations be made to the Pleasant Ridge Church.

Clara was born September 13, 1936 in Lamar County Alabama, to the late Houston Cox and Hilda Davis. She attended Sulligent High School, and was a seamstress by trade. Mrs. Handley had previously worked at McCoy MFG. , Reltoc, Mr. Gene’s, and Jack Rabbit Slims. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking, and working puzzles.
