Charles A. King was born February 24, 1932 in Selmer, TN the son of the late Leeander Dexter and Josephine Baker King. He was united in marriage to Helen Ingle on November 3, 1962.
Mr. King was a mechanic and worked for Hawkins Auto Electric in Memphis TN before he retired in 1993. Some of his favorite pastimes were working on cars, fishing, watching westerns, spending time with his family, especially playing with his grandchildren.
Mr. King departed this life on May 11, 2014 in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 82 Years, 2 Months, 17 Days. He is survived by his wife Helen (Ingle) King of Memphis, TN; two sons, Alan Lane King and wife Becky of Memphis, TN, Leeander Dexter King and wife Joyce of Byhalia, MS; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. King was preceded in death by a son, Rickey Dale King; a daughter, Kathy Jean Pepper, one grandchild, six brothers, and four sisters.
