Carol Faye Smith Hargett, 76, passed away April 5, at Mitchell Hollingsworth Nursing Home, Florence. She was a member of Bethsaida Baptist Church, Russellville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles O. Smith, Jr. and Faye McClung Smith McCarver; son, Jason Hargett; daughter, April Hargett.
Carol is survived by her husband, Stanley Hargett; daughter, Angie Solley (Jackie); grandson, Levi James; granddaughter, Leah Townsend (Brice); step granddaughter, Autumn Hatton (Hayden); brother, Sammy Smith (Suzanne); nephew, Craig Smith; niece, Leigh Ann James (Brad). The pallbearers will be David Gaston, Ronnie Gaston, Craig Smith, Brad James, Johnny Thornton, Gary Uhlman and Burt Balentine.
The visitation will be Monday April 7, 2025, from 12:00-2:00pm at Colbert Memorial Chapel with the service to follow at 2:00 pm in the chapel. Officiating at the service will be Bro. Dennis Stewart. The burial will be at Franklin Memory Gardens, Russellville. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Mitchell Hollingsworth Nursing Home.
