Brett Austin Duvall, age 39 of Shelbyville died Sunday June 21, 2026, at his home. He was a native of Indianapolis, IN and has lived in Middle Tennessee area the last nine years.
Brett was born August 18th in Indianapolis, IN. to Terry and Savannah. He was often referred to as the “million dollar” baby after being born pre-mature and needing life saving treatment. He was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished son, brother, family member, and loyal friend whose kindness, strength, and sense of humor touched everyone who knew him.
He shared a loving marriage with his wife, Tayo Bailey-Duvall, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Brett absolutely loved and adored his two daughters Taya and Taytum who he called his road dogs and ended each night with play time with daddy. Brett will be remembered for his kindness, joyous energy, adventurous spirit, and passion for helping others.
Brett enjoyed camping, hunting, traveling and he found great joy in spending time with those he loved. His legacy lives on through countless lives he touched with his compassion and love.
Brett had attended Experience Community Church Murfreesboro and was working for Arbon Equipment Corporation.
He is survived by his wife, Taylo Bailey-Duvall, Daughters, Taya and Taytum; Parents; Terry Duvall and wife Marilyn, Savannah Rose. Brothers, Jean Duvall and wife Leah, Elliott Kastner; sisters, Angela Sherrill and husband Jay, Kylie Concepcion and husband Juan; father-in-law, Trellis Bailey Sr.; sister-in-laws Tanisha Bailey, Renosha Evans; brother-in-laws, Trellis Bailey Jr., Marcell Pierce; His best friends Ramzi and Justin Corbett; Nephews, Nieces, Cousins, Aunts and Uncles. He was preceded in death by Aunt Kathy and his grandparents.
Visitation will be Wednesday July 1st 4:00 PM to 6:00PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Memorial Service will be Wednesday July 1st 6:00PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor his memory and shared stories of the remarkable life he lived.
Though Brett is no longer with us in body, his love, laughter, and spirit will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
