Bobby Gene (Bob) Yerby, age 86, of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at his residence. He was born in Alabama on Monday, March 15, 1937, to his parents, Alvin and Edith (Randolph) Yerby.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Nellie (Miller) Yerby; son, Terrance Yerby; daughter, Nellie Jane Short (husband, Robert); grandchildren, Daniel Short, Matthew Short, Adam Short, Sinjun Yerby, Kileen Yerby; great-grandchildren, Zachery Short, Tyler Short; a host nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Edith Yerby; brothers, Tom, Joe, Daniel and Bill Yerby; sister, Jackie Cantrell.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 04, 2023, 11-12 p.m. at Marion County Funeral Home
Service will follow at 12 p.m. in the chapel with Bro. Todd Clippard officiating and interment at Hamilton Memory Gardens.
