bobBobby (Bob) G. Robinson, 77, of Fulton, MS., formally of Kenosha, WI, following a courageous battle with cancer, entered into eternal life Sunday, July 14, 2013 surrounded by his loved ones at Sanctuary House Hospice in Tupelo, MS.

Bob was born on January 18, 1936 in Fulton to the late Sidney Earl and Birmah (Dulaney) Robinson. He attended local schools graduating from Itawamba Agricultural High School and Itawamba Junior College.

In 1954 he move to Kenosha, WI to work in the factories and to be closer to the girl he fell in love with. On August 27, 1955 he was united in marriage to Peggy Timms. They were married for 38 years until her death in 2003.

Bob was raised and baptized at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church but in later years he became a faithful attendant of Sandy Springs Baptist Church.

For over 30 years he worked for Sears in management and as a service man, he also was one of their first computer trouble shooters. Working on everything that sears sold, he was the most gifted repairman anyone could ever meet, with most of his temporary fixes lasting longer than other people’s permanent fix’s. His career in electronics began when there was nothing but tube radios and black & white TV’s and lasted well into the computer age. As part of his job he attended schooling on a regular basis to keep up with new technology. No one ever found something he could not fix, because if he didn’t already know how to fix it he would learn. He couldn’t help himself if he came across something that needed repair, he would take it apart figure it out and put it back together usually as good if not better than new.

After retirement Bob returned back to his roots on the family farm in Fulton, MS. He loved to travel the United States and Canada, having visited “all but 2 of the lower 48”. In recent years his favorite mode of travel was the bus trips he took across North America, from the East coast to the West coast and into Canada. He will be missed by all the friends he has made on these trips. Besides taking care of the family timber farm he also enjoyed wood working and was still trying to learn how to catch fish.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Billy Robinson and his wife Peggy.

Bob is survived by his daughter Sandy (Mike) Moran, son Tracy Robinson both of Kenosha, his grandchildren Adam (Carrie) Kisielewski of Frederick, MD, Amanda (Matt) Stephens of San Diego, CA, Mykel Robinson of Fond Du Lac, WI, step-grandchildren Chris (Be’) Moran of Chantilly, VA and Erin (Aaron) Wagner of Madison, WI, and a great grandson Evan Kisielewski of Frederick, MD. Bob is also survived by his very special best friend Patsy (Johnson) Thomas and honorary children Cindy & James Jamerson and Brad & Dedra Thomas.
