Billy Joe Banks, age 92 of Jasper, Alabama, passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by his family. Mr. Banks was a man of great character and integrity. He always claimed that his family was his greatest accomplishment.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Assembly of God. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with graveside ceremony immediately following. Ronny Thompson and Russ McDonald will officiate.
He was preceded in death by his Parents-Greely and Cora Banks; Brothers-Lewis, Lacy and Doris Banks.
He is survived by his Loving wife of 65 years-Margaret Annette Banks; Daughter-Donna (Carl) Kilgore; Son-Randy Banks; Son-Dennis (Beth) Banks; Daughter-Denise (Ronny) Thompson; Sister-Jo Nell Banks Dutton; Sister-Faye King; Brother-Johnny (Marie) Banks; 12 Grandchildren and 32 Great Grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Banks, Eric Thompson, Ryan Banks, Adam Thompson, Jeremiah Banks, Lee Brown, Eric Madison, Joseph Cook, Justin Stephenson and Charlie Waits.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Daniel Woodard and Isaac Woodard.
