Betty Jean Berry, 86, of Anderson, passed away, Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at her residence. She was a very special lady who will be remembered for her love and compassion for others. She never let anyone leave her house or end a phone call without an “I love you”.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 13th from 1 – 2 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow in the chapel with Caleb Gooch officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Byron Newton, Blake Newton, Colin Foust, John Adam Berry, Trevor Collier, Tyler Hunsburger, Hayden Strickland and Will Young.
Mrs. Berry was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Johnny C. Berry, Jr.; sons, Tim Berry and Jeff Berry; siblings, Grady Roberson, Bessie Watkins, Myrtle Auten, Calvin Roberson, Homer Roberson, Ellis Roberson, Ruth Darby and Hazel Smith; parents, Andy Clay and Nellie Roberson.
She is survived by her sons, Michael Berry of Florence, AL, Johnny C. Berry, III (Dana) of Arab, AL and daughter, Amy Newton (Byron) of Anderson, AL; grandchildren, Kristy, Anthony Berry, Elisabeth Foust (Colin), Hannah Collier (Trevor), Lindsay Berry, John Adam Berry, Cara Grace Young (Will), Baylee Hunsburger (Tyler) and Blake Newton; great-grandchildren, Kylie Foust, Karson Foust, Kaislynn Foust, Charlie Mac Collier, Hollis Collier, Hunter Stamps, Destiny Stamps, Aden Berry, Michael Berry, Preston Berry, Dominic Berry, Samuel Berry and Jasper Berry; great-great grandchildren, Samuel Stamps and Carter Stamps; numerous nieces and nephews.
