Betty Jean , or Jean as she was known to most , was born to the union of Platt and Ora Banks on July 11, 1928, in Trenton, TN. Betty transitioned to peaceful rest on February 26, 2025.
Betty was preceded in death by her mother, father, husband Charlie Williamson, siblings Sue Hassel, Aubrey Banks and Arzie Foster of Ft. Wayne, IN; Platt Banks, Jr., Robert Banks, Bruce Banks, and James Banks of St. Louis, MO; Bertha Woods and Camilla Johnson of Trenton, TN; Louise Wilson of Union City, TN, and one son Marion Sidney Ramsey.
Mother Williamson leaves to cherish her memories one sister Ms. Barbara Watson of Trenton, TN, five children Manuel Ramsey of Detroit , MI, Ora Carson of Jackson, TN, Rodell Ramsey of Toledo, Ohio, Bertha Swift of Trenton, TN, Kary Ware (Min. George) of Dyer TN, and stepson Sherrod Ramsey of Toldeo, OH.
She loved and appreciated all her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren. They all gave her pure joy. Betty has a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends which she dearly loved.
Mother Williamson accepted Christ at a young age at Friendship Grove Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a Mother , and was a lifetime member who worked in the church as an usher, choir member, and soloist. Betty loved the Lord and loved to praise him. Mother Williamson enjoyed fishing, listening to gospel quartets, and her daily bible time. She worked as a housekeeper for many years in various homes around Trenton, TN.
