Mrs. Barbara Ann BinfordBarbara Ann McLin Binford was born on March 24, 1950 to the parents of George McLin, Sr. and Florence Daily McLin. She sadly passed away on February 20, 2024.

Barbara was the third sibling of five children. She was preceded in death by siblings, George, Jr., Betty and Brenda McLin. Barbara grew up in Athens, Alabama, she attended Trinity High School and graduated in the class of 1968.

Barbara was united in holy matrimony to the late Marvin Lewis Binford. Born to this union were two beautiful and educated daughters, Miranda (Hartis) Lowman and Pamela Hardin, both residents of Huntsville, Al., Barbara leaves four grandchildren: Bryan (Cassaundra) Lowman, Mya Lowman, Raphael Hardin Jr., and Alonah Hardin, all of Huntsville, Al. She also leaves one surviving sister: Marion (Armon) Thompson of Loganville, Georgia and a host of nieces and nephews.

Barbara was a devoted Jehovah’s Witness for over forty-eight years. She was baptized on January 15, 1975, and she continued serving Jehovah until her passing. Barbara enjoyed congregating with the brothers and sisters at the Kingdom Hall.

Barbara enjoyed cooking for her family. Her daughters’ favorite meal was her fried chicken and broccoli and cheese casserole. Barbara also enjoyed the pastime of shopping as well as talking on the phone with her family and friends.

Barbara may be gone in her fleshly body for now. However, she will always be in Jehovah’s memory with the hope of a resurrection and having Eternal Everlasting Life.

The funeral service for Mrs. Barbara Ann Binford will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 29, 2024, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses (2820 Winchester Road Huntsville, AL 35810) with Brother Robert Carter officiating. Interment will be in the Valhalla Memory Gardens. Mrs. Binford will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.

Public viewing will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 28, 2024, and 8:30 until 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 29, 2024, at the Royal Funeral Home.
