Austin Robert Metcalf, age 31 of Manchester, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2023. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on September 5, 1991. Austin was currently employed as an equipment operator for McAfee Excavating. He had the “need for speed” and enjoyed racing motorcycles and MMA fighting. But most of all, he cherished the time spent with his precious sons. Austin was a member of Pelham Valley Church of God of Prophecy. His family will remember his infectious smile that would light up the darkness and the love he had for his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Waymon and Jean Hawkins, and Bobby Ralph Metcalf Sr; and uncle, Robert Jason Lamb. Austin is survived by his wife, Kelsey Pearson Metcalf; children, Karter, Denver, and Rylie; stepson, Easten Pieper; parents, Betsy (Matt) McAfee, and Bobby Metcalf Jr; and siblings, Justin Dean Metcalf, and Mikayla Brooke Metcalf; nanny, Pat Roberson, paternal grandparents Linda and Robert Rodie, aunts and uncles, Vickie (Jared) Woodyard, Melissa “Sissy” Hawkins; several other aunts, uncles, and cousins; and special friends, Draper and Jenny Davis. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Sunday, July 2, 2023, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, July 3, 2023, in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Bro.
